The Louisiana Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) protects and promotes health and ensures access to medical, preventive, and rehabilitative services for all citizines of the State of Louisiana. The Department's Health Standards Section provides licenses to healthcare facilities to operate in the state and certifies facilities for participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs.
