Hospital Reports
With the increased scrutiny from regulatory and accrediting agencies, it is important for hospitals to know what their conversion rates are. Below we provide a few reports to show where hospitals stand compared to the overall goal of 75% conversion as well as to other hospitals across the state.
- Donation Rate Report Card—The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) compiles this report each month and shares it with organ procurement organizations, transplant centers, hospitals and other audiences. This information is publicly available. This also is one of the reports Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) uses in preparing for their surveys.
- Large Donor Hospital Report—This report is a compilation of several Donation Rate Report Cards, but only for those hospitals with a minimum of 8 eligible deaths for at least one of those 12-month periods. HRSA uses this report to determine hospitals that will receive the Medal of Honor at the annual National Learning Congress. To qualify for a Medal of Honor, a hospital must have a donation rate of at least 75% for one of the 12-month periods.
