Director of Finance - Full time/Covington - The Director of Finance supports the CFO in the financial leadership of the organization.  This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department, including full-scope accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance activities.  The Director ensures timely and accurate financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, is responsible for preparation and filing of the IRS Form 990, preparation of CMS cost reports, managing audits, and supporting the CFO in financial analysis and forecasting.

Director of Organ Placement and Utilization - Full time/Covington - Directs the operations of the Organ Placement and Utilization department. Responsible for providing administrative oversight of all organ placement activities including organ allocation for transplant and research, coordination of recovery logistics and transportation. Directs allocation efforts in pursuit of maximizing the number of organs transplanted from every authorized case. Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies for organ recovery. Serves as a liaison to transplant centers for organ procurement activities within and outside the donation service area. Supports and fosters the mission of the organization and its commitment to organ, eye and tissue donation.

Director of Business Intelligence - Full time/Covington - Directs the design, development and maintenance of transformational Business Intelligence (BI) solution strategies that support LOPA’s business processes. The Director of Business Intelligence will work directly with all levels of management and functional areas to ensure alignment of BI solutions with the agency’s overall strategic objectives. This position utilizes data analytic techniques to support informed decision making and drive transformational change throughout the agency change. Directs all aspects of the BI department, including long term strategic planning, policy development, regulatory compliance, budget management and performance management of employees.

Organ Recovery Manager - Full time/Covington - This position is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the Organ Recovery department to ensure goals/objectives and deadlines are met while managing performance of assigned direct reports which includes:

  • Development, implementation, and monitoring of policies, procedures, strategies, and action plans related to the procurement and utilization of organs for transplant and research.

  • Creating and maintaining policies, procedures, and training directly related to the Donor Care Unit within the Donor Care Center.

  • Collaborating with team members to develop and implement donor management strategies.

  • Collaborating with Education Department to plan, coordinate, and direct training for staff development programs involving the clinical coordinator personnel.

Donation Services Coordinator II - Full time/Lake Charles - The Donation Services Coordinator (DSC) II is responsible for developing and implementing an individualized donation education and quality assurance process improvement program within their assigned hospital(s). The DSC II will collaborate to improve donation outcomes, maintain positive working relationships, and develop a hospital culture supporting and promoting organ, tissue and eye donation. The DSC II is responsible for the performance of their assigned hospital(s) as it relates to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as outlined within LOPA’s strategic plan. The DSC II will be responsible for proactive rounding with early identification of donor referral potential. The DSC II will assist with timely on-site response, assessment, and evaluation of potential organ donors to maintain the opportunity for donation.

The DSC I- WOW will be responsible for proactive rounding and early identification of donor referral potential.

Surgical Coordinator I - Full time/Covington - Responsible for the coordination of the organ donation process during the recovery of organs for transplantation and research. Participates with hospital development and professional/public education programs using a team approach. Develops and maintains a positive professional liaison between LOPA and the medical/civic community. Utilizes discretion and sensitivity with respect to the circumstances, views and beliefs of others in all interactions, including donor families.
