Transplant Games of America meets Team Louisiana

From July 29 - August 3, Team Louisiana represented well at the Transplant Games of America. 19 Louisiana athletes traveled as a team to San Diego, California to represent our State at the games. This Olympic style event started in 1990 to bring together transplant recipients, donor families, living donors, those waiting for a transplant and those who support the life saving gifts of organ, tissue and eye donation.

After having the games cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19, our team came back stronger than ever, taking home a grand total of 30 medals!!

Congratulations to all of our hard working athletes and thank you to the selfless donor heroes for helping them get there. Below is a list of all the games Team Louisiana participated in.
