Kenneth “Ken” Doucet lived a life centered around public service.  He was a volunteer member of the Port Allen Fire Department for 32 years and also served as a Port Allen City Police Reserve Officer for over 30 years.  Ken was the first certified EMT in West Baton Rouge Parish.  Following his retirement from Dow Chemical, after 32 years as an operator, he put his emergency response skills to use as a Dispatcher for the West Baton Rouge 911 Center.  His four children could always count on him to coach their athletic teams or be a leader in their school booster clubs.  Through the tissue donation program, his family was honored that he was able to make one final contribution to others.
